Frequently asked questions

What is considered an insured event in health insurance?

An insured event is a sudden deterioration in health, acute illness, exacerbation of a chronic disease, injuries, poisoning, burns and other consequences of accidents

Which countries can I travel to with INGO policy?

We can provide you with insurance coverage of various scales. It can be a trip to a single country or a long trip to a specific region (for example, Schengen countries). If necessary, INGO issues policies even with "Worldwide" coverage. The only exceptions are Russia and Belarus, whose territories were excluded from insurance coverage after the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

What is the sum insured or insurance coverage limit?

The sum insured in health insurance is the amount within which the insurance company pays the insured person's expenses for medical services provided under the insurance program.

What happens if the costs of medical services for the insured person exceed the sum insured? Who should pay them?

If the insured person exhausts the insurance coverage limit during the course of treatment, the insurance program is terminated, and the patient pays the remaining unpaid amount for medical services on his/her own. Therefore, please choose the amount of the sum insured carefully when applying for a policy.

Is it important for the insurance company to know the purpose of my trip abroad?

Yes, it is important to know this at the time of insurance. After all, the nature of the trip determines the level of risk, which is taken into account when forming the cost of the policy. High-risk trips have more coverage and are priced at different rates. For example, if your policy does not take into account the fact that you will be engaged in extreme sports during the trip, the insurance company will not be able to organize and pay for medical care in the event of an insured event.

What are extreme sports?

Sports and activities that involve an increased level of danger to humans are considered extreme.

For example, anything related to mountain tourism (trekking) at altitudes of 2,000 to 4,500 meters. This also includes mountaineering, mountain biking, and speleotourism.

Water recreation, such as diving (scuba diving) at a depth of up to 15 meters, river rafting (including rafting, kayaking, catamaran rafting, etc.), sports diving

Hunting, fishing in hard-to-reach and remote areas, traveling in jeeps, ATVs, motorcycles and other vehicles off public roads

Jumping from a height, including with a parachute, rope jumping, flying with the use of non-motorized vehicles, flying as a pilot

Participation in races on vehicles or animals (including auto-motorcycle rallies and drifting)
