Frequently asked questions

What factors influence the risk assessment and the amount of the tariff?

The following factors are taken into account when assessing the risk and, accordingly, determining the tariff: age, type and size of the container, number of containers and their average cost, transportation geography, deductible, insurance coverage, loss history, and structure by mode of transport.

How is the damage calculated in case of complete loss of the container?

In case of total loss of the container, the actual value of the container is indemnified minus operational wear and tear, the value of the container's remains (within the sum insured).

Complete constructive destruction: if as a result of the insured event the costs of restoring the container to the condition before the insured event exceed 80% of the sum insured for the container.

How is damage calculated in case of partial loss of a container?

In case of partial loss of the container, the costs of restoring the container to the condition before the insured event shall be indemnified, including the costs of materials and spare parts for repair, payment for repair work, and delivery of materials to the place of repair.

How long can containers be insured for?

Containers can be insured both for the duration of a single transportation and for a certain period.

In what territory is the insurance coverage valid?

The insurance contract is valid on the territory within the route of transportation or the place of storage, except for the territories specified in the contract (e.g., war zones, occupied territories, certain countries, etc.)
