On June 17, 2025, during a large-scale air attack, a blast wave damaged an office and warehouse production complex in Kyiv. Although there was no direct hit, the impact was considerable: more than 500 sq. m of façade sandwich panels, four industrial gates, a fire suppression and alarm system, automatic sliding doors, and glazing were damaged.

The facility was insured by INGO Insurance Company. The coverage included buildings (with interior finishes), engineering networks, and glass structures of the office and production complex. The incident was recognized as an insured event within the policy limits, as the damage was caused by a blast wave—a risk covered under the contract terms.

According to the insurer, after reviewing the submitted documents and assessing the losses, the calculated indemnity fully covered the costs of repair and restoration. The compensation amounted to UAH 3.5 million. Once the complete documentation was received, the settlement process took three weeks, with payment made on August 15, 2025.

“Even without a direct hit, a blast wave can cause serious damage to infrastructure. Our role as an insurer is to promptly and objectively document the consequences and provide an accurate assessment of losses. For this, we engaged specialized experts and ensured transparent communication with the client at every stage,” said Oleksandr Kolpakov, Head of the Property Loss Adjustment Department at INGO Insurance Company.

He emphasized that the insurance system continues to function even under critical conditions:

“Restoring business depends not only on resources, but also on trust in mechanisms that provide compensation for losses.”

INGO was among the first companies in Ukraine to introduce enterprise property insurance with war-risk coverage. These programs operate in regions outside active combat zones and set liability limits individually, based on the nature of the risks and the specifics of the insured property.
