Andrii Semchenko, Chief Executive Officer of INGO Insurance Company, has been included in the "Top Managers: Ukraine's Top Managers Ranking 2026", compiled by Focus magazine. The ranking features 36 executives representing 12 sectors of the Ukrainian economy. The insurance industry is represented by only three executives, among whom is Andriy Semchenko.
This recognition is particularly significant given the scale of the transformation taking place in Ukraine's insurance market. According to the National Bank of Ukraine, 47 companies currently operate in the non-life insurance segment, of which INGO is one. At the same time, the industry continues to navigate a challenging environment as insurers adapt to rising claims payments, a shrinking customer base, new regulatory requirements, and the need to develop effective solutions for war risk insurance.
The Focus ranking evaluates more than companies' financial performance alone. To compile the ranking, the editorial team identified 12 industries that play a key role in the Ukrainian economy and engaged Ukrainian and international industry experts, HR professionals, economists, and business leaders to assess the nominees.
Candidates were evaluated based on their professional achievements, personal reputation, public profile, and market influence. The experts also considered the reputation of the companies led by the nominees, as well as their contribution to social initiatives supporting both civilians and the military. The final ranking includes the candidates who achieved the highest overall scores.
According to the ranking's compilers, the role of a business leader during wartime extends far beyond traditional corporate management. The ability of companies to maintain financial stability, preserve their teams, continue investing, implement new technologies, and develop solutions essential for the country's future recovery largely depends on the effectiveness of their leadership.
Andriy Semchenko was appointed Chief Executive Officer of INGO in July 2025. He has spent the majority of his professional career with the company, progressing from an underwriter to Head of Corporate Business and subsequently to Chief Executive Officer.
Under his leadership, INGO has focused on technological development, business diversification, and strengthening its war risk insurance portfolio. The company continues to develop proprietary insurance products, participate in international insurance programs, and help Ukrainian businesses utilize government support mechanisms that partially compensate the cost of war risk insurance.
During the first half of 2026, INGO increased its gross insurance premiums by 22.9%, outperforming the average growth rate of member companies of the National Association of Insurers of Ukraine (NASU). The insurer continues to hold leading positions in property and health insurance while further expanding its range of solutions for both corporate and retail clients.
This is the second major recognition of Andrii Semchenko's leadership in prominent Ukrainian business rankings in 2026. Earlier this year, he ranked third in the Top 25 CEOs of the Financial Sector, compiled by TOP-100. Ratings of the Largest magazine in partnership with Delo.ua. He was the only representative of the insurance industry to rank among the top three, alongside the CEOs of two Ukrainian banks.
Being recognized in two of Ukraine's most respected business rankings in a single year highlights Andrii Semchenko's growing influence within the country's financial sector. At the same time, it reflects the achievements of the entire INGO team, which continues to strengthen the company and contribute to the development of Ukraine's insurance market despite the challenges of wartime.
