The updated apartment insurance program makes it possible to insure an apartment against a wide range of dangerous situations, including damage to windows, balconies and loggias, as well as war risks, which were not traditionally included in property insurance programs. Now, individuals who buy a property insurance policy can be sure of protecting their property even in today's challenging environment.
"War risks have traditionally been excluded from insurance coverage in property insurance programs," says Mykola Matyka, Retail Business Director of the company. "Such causes of building destruction as shells, missiles, mines, bullets, etc. and the consequences of explosions - broken windows and other damage to real estate - have always been included in the list of exclusions, which exempted insurers from paying compensation to victims. But now, when the country is under martial law, we decided to give people the opportunity to protect their property from these risks as well," added Matika.
The insurance coverage covers both movable and immovable property of the apartment (decoration, repairs, engineering and other communications, furniture, household and other appliances, etc.) and liability to neighbors (or other persons).
You can insure apartments located in residential buildings that have been put into operation after the completion of repair and restoration work in the premises. The sum insured can be chosen at your discretion in the range from UAH 250 thousand to UAH 2 million. At the same time, losses resulting from "war risks" are indemnified under the terms of the contract within the sum insured without additional sublimits.
"We understand that it is important for consumers to understand the product both at the stage of concluding the contract and at the stage of compensation," says Mykola Matyka, "Therefore, we tried to make the updated insurance program simple and accessible.
The "Apartment Express" insurance policy can be issued for a short term of 1 month or for a standard period of 1 year. The policyholders can be individuals and legal entities - apartment owners or tenants. No preliminary inspection is required to conclude the contract, and small losses of up to UAH 30 thousand are settled under a simplified procedure that requires a minimum of documents.
