INGO Insurance Company cares about the maximum insurance protection of tourists and tries to keep abreast of all possible innovations that affect travel safety. To this end, Andriy Zhelyabov, Head of Cooperation with Travel Operators at INGO, took part in the discussion of the draft law on tourism (No. 4162).

The document, among other things, provides for the introduction of compulsory insurance for all tourists against financial risks, as well as compulsory liability insurance for tour operators in the event of bankruptcy.

"A lot of amendments were made to the bill after the first reading. As a responsible business that cares about its customers, we want to be aware of possible legislative changes related to tourism," said Andriy Zheliabov.

Representatives of the ACC (American Chamber of Commerce), hotel industry, travel companies and insurance business met with Dmytro Nalyotov, MP, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Tourism and Resorts of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy. He is the initiator of draft law No. 4162. This document was adopted in the first reading in April 2021, and since then more than a thousand amendments have been made to it.

The meeting discussed the changes to the draft law after the first reading, as well as forecasts for its adoption and the expected impact of these legislative changes on the tourism sector.
