INGO Insurance Company paid more than UAH 220 million under voluntary health insurance policies for 9 months of 2021. This is 37% more than in the same period last year.

The company's Deputy Chairman of the Board Sergiy Maistrenko notes that the main reason for this growth is due to an increase in the number of insured. At the same time, the coverage of insurance policies is improving, resulting in an increase in the amount of premiums collected. For 9 months of 2021, sales of voluntary health insurance (VHI) policies of INGO increased by 26.3%. According to him, the positive dynamics in the market was observed even before the epidemic, and the coronavirus only exacerbated it, creating an even greater need for quality medical care.

"We are meeting this need. Statistics on sales of voluntary health insurance policies show that confidence in it is growing. More and more of our clients are now choosing extended coverage, which provides more opportunities," says Sergey Maistrenko.

After a forced break last year, this year the insured began to seek medical services more often, which in turn contributed to the growth of payments. Inflation is also mentioned as an indirect reason.

Voluntary health insurance (VHI) is a modern and effective means of planning healthcare costs. It guarantees medical care and full or partial reimbursement of the cost of medicines at the expense of the insurance company.
