Motor third party liability insurance is mandatory for driving in the territory of the country of visit.
Drivers of vehicles registered in Ukraine should make sure that they have civil liability insurance in force for their vehicles.

How can I find out if my vehicle has civil liability insurance?

  • You have a valid Green Card issued by a Ukrainian insurance company.
  • the "Green Card" is printed on green or white paper or provided in electronic format (in a mobile phone, laptop, tablet, etc. We recommend that you print it out to comply with the requirements of local legislation).
  • "The Green Card is valid and not expired at the time of entry into the territory of a foreign country.
  • "The Green Card provides coverage in the territory of the foreign country you are entering.

If you do not have a Green Card that meets the above requirements, your vehicle does not have compulsory third-party liability insurance in the territory of the foreign country you are entering.
In this case, you must purchase a new valid "Green Card" from a Ukrainian insurance company that meets the above criteria OR purchase a Border Insurance Policy,
