Compared to previous periods, INGO insurance company increased indemnities under the voluntary health insurance programs in November and December 2022. According to the paid indemnities, UAH 29.1 million and UAH 30.9 million were accrued.

During the last months of the year, almost 18 thousand and 20.5 thousand medical services were organized for the company's clients. For the payment of indemnities under accident insurance contracts, the applications were received for the amount of UAH 3.2 million in November and UAH 1.9 million in December.

"Since December, we have been observing a rapid increase in the appeals by insured persons for the planned medical care, which is due to the delayed demand for the medical services", - Deputy CEO Serhiy Maistrenko noted. - "The citizens, who were evacuated abroad, experienced some restrictions in the access to medical services. Therefore, we currently have certain signs of the so-called "medical tourism". The people, who temporarily return to Ukraine, visit all necessary specialized doctors in order to receive treatment for the disease," Serhiy Maistrenko clarified.

Accordingly, in connection with the more severe course of diseases (especially chronic ones), the average check for treatment increased. Also, the insured were more likely to need medical services. The average number of appeals increased significantly and already amounted to 2,000 appeals daily in late December. Most often, the insured applied for medical advice and medicines. The dentistry and instrumental diagnostics services were also among the most in demand.
